Plain-language terms for using the Verdix API.
Verdix returns safe, caution, or danger for an address,
based only on the checks listed on the pricing page for the tier you paid for.
safe means those checks found no risk signal at the time of the request — it is
not a guarantee that the address is safe, that funds sent to it are safe, or that
no risk exists. New scams, lookalikes and compromised addresses appear constantly, and no automated
check can catch everything. Verdix output is informational only and is not financial, legal, or
security advice.
The free address-poisoning checker (/check and /check/api)
shows whether our watcher automatically flagged an address in an address-poisoning transfer on Base.
A flag is an automated observation of on-chain activity, not an accusation against
anyone, and it comes with no guarantee: an address that is not flagged is not
necessarily safe, and a flag can be wrong. If you believe an address is flagged by mistake, email
lauras@verdixapi.com and we will review and correct it.
Verdix and its operator are not liable for any loss of funds, damages, or other consequences arising from your use of, or reliance on, the API's output, however that verdict was produced. You are solely responsible for any transfer or transaction you make.
Each request is paid per call, in USDC on Base, via the x402 protocol. Payment settles on-chain when
a valid response is returned. Payments are non-refundable — this applies regardless
of the verdict you receive, including a danger or caution result, except
where a request could not be completed and was never charged in the first place (Verdix does not
settle payment for a request that returns an error before a verdict is produced).
Verdix is provided "as is," may change its checks, pricing, or availability at any time, and may be discontinued without notice. You are responsible for your own wallet, keys, and any client software you use to call this API.
